Thermal recovery and hazardous waste incineration

REMONDIS Industrie Service is dedicated to developing innovative recycling solutions in the field of thermal waste treatment. This includes both thermal recovery and hazardous waste incineration.

Thermal recovery involves applying heat to reduce the volume of waste and neutralize hazardous components, while also generating electricity and steam and minimizing pollutant emissions. On the other hand, when hazardous waste cannot be recycled or reused, incineration serves as an effective solution. With our extensive network of modern thermal recovery and incineration plants, REMONDIS is well-equipped to meet the diverse needs of our customers in Germany and beyond.

Incineration of hazardous and toxic waste

All over Europe, we have facilities designed to incinerate hazardous and toxic waste. These vary according to the type of waste treated there and include incinerators with fluidised-bed combustion, grate firing and static or rotary kilns. As well as specialising in the destruction of ozone-depleting substances (ODSs) such as CFCs and HCFCs, we have the technology and expertise to dispose of obsolete chemicals, herbicides, pesticides and other toxic substances. This is done in line with strict legal requirements, while monitoring and documenting the Destruction and Removal Efficiency (DRE).
